The Name

Thanks to everyone for following and supporting!

Several people have asked me about the name. Adeline comes from a combination of my grandmother's middle name, Adele, and my name. When I was brainstorming possible monikers, I took a look at my jewelry collection. Some of my favorite pieces are heirlooms that have been handed off to me by women in my family. I wanted the company name to embody that in a way. Plus, I think it sounds pretty.

I've been an apprentice in the workshop at Julius Cohen Jeweler, Inc. for about a year and a half. I made this sterling silver woven chain bracelet that was put in stock and subsequently bought by my aunt, Rosalind Willis. Ros has since sent the bracelet to every woman in our family, along with a list of each person who has worn it at one time or another.

Here's another woman in the family, Joy Olson, modeling a custom ear piece I made for her. She's a very talented fashion designer, and a delightful person. Check out HER blog on my links list. She came up with this idea that I helped her implement.

Made myself a pair, too, even though I only have two piercings on each ear. I'm also working on a single piercing option.

That's it for now, but in the next few weeks, I'm hoping to post a photo album with all available pieces and their corresponding prices.

Greetings friends and jewelry lovers! Here marks the launch of Adeline's blog, where I'll upload pictures of new projects, keep you updated on news and events, and basically discuss all things jewelry.

I've been working on a lot of new pieces, playing with chain, stones, and repurposed vintage items. With spring in full bloom, I'm bursting with new design ideas, and I'm excited to see jewels sparkling in the sunshine.

Stay tuned!
